Calculate interest on a savings account

Calculate how much salary you as an employer must pay after tax, and how much preliminary income tax and employer contributions you must pay to the Swedish Tax Agency.

The calculator uses the Swedish Tax Agency's tax tables to calculate preliminary income tax, and is intended to be used for recurring monthly salary. This refers to salaries, fees and similar compensation - not pension, unemployment insurance, sickness or activity compensation.

If you do not know which tax table to use, use the calculator at the Swedish Tax Agency .

You can also use this second calculator to calculate your exact net salary , and see how much you pay in various taxes.

People who have turned 66 at the beginning of the year (every 65 years up to and including 2023), a different column is used in the tax table than for younger people. The employer's contribution also depends on the person's age.

On wages that are not the employee's main income, tax deductions must be made at 30 percent evenly, regardless of the tax table.

If you have any questions, contact the Swedish Tax Agency or your accounting firm.
